Here is a one month later update. I didn't follow the plan, not even a little. In fact, most of my guitar practice time was spent taking naps. The most practice I did in July was following the changes to Dark Blues Music. New goal, learn a song.

The AXE FX III is pro level cool, I figure I can start small and can always upgrade later. Then I can give my old gear to a nephew.

I almost ordered a GE-250 from Reverb.com but ended up buying a Boss GT-1 at my local Portman's Music store. There were two things that drove me crazy during set up. One, the expression pedal default was a volume pedal and the pedal was set to 0db. It took me a long time to figure out why I wasn't getting any sound out of it. Two, my Windows 10 mic privacy setting was causing an error with the PC interface. I got both those sorted so next I will be exploring some new tones.

My Digitech RP-360 is fubar so I spent the morning searching through You Tube's multi-effect pedal reviews. My current favorite is Jam Pedals Pink Flow, but I need something a little cheaper. Any recommendations?

I never listened to FFDP before so I picked a song at random, it turned out to be a requiem. Now I'm sad.

LOL, KISS Destroyer was the first LP I shop lifted. That was before I had my first 8 Track player. I'll have to check if these girls do any Heart songs.

I was really surprised by the growling wench. This is a great band.

After a quick analysis, here are main problems. not in the pocket. not following the changes. substituted the 1,5, open D, 3 chords with 1, open D, 3 chords (the 5 was too hard to reach). melody phrasing meanders, always ends on a long note, and does not following changes (not nailing the chord tones).
