  1. Creative Jazz Blues Guitar With Walking Bass ( Octaver Madness ) Here I give you some tips and tricks on how to play really cool and creative jazz blues in F with walking bass only with a brush jazz drum and an octaver effect set on 25 %. The beginning is really easy to play. The 2 + 4 feel is really essential for that - the full walking bass with chords is a bit more demanding but still in the range of any intermediate player. You can download the files associated to this tutorial here :
  2. Jazz Guitar - Dorian Mode Licks Here I give you a short introduction into the dorian mode and one pattern in the main pattern of the minor pentatonic. Then I give you some insight how to do exercises and tricks with the phrasing by using the dorian mode / scale. Then I show you a few guitar licks which you can use in your jazz guitar soloing and at the end I am putting everything together. You can use those on the jazz standards " So What " by Miles Davis and " Impressions " by John Coltrane. C Dorian Jazz Guitar Licks.pdf C Dorian Jazz Guitar Licks.gp C dorian jazz licks.mp3
  3. Mack The Knife - Jazz Guitar Here you can listen to my spontanious rendition of Ella Fitzgeralds " Mack The Knife " if you want to play the song yourself - check out this tutorial :
  4. I had a jazz vibe today in the studio so I switched on my guitar and played this improvised original in the vibe of one of my idols - Miles Davis with his CD " Birth of the cool " - It's a little homage to this great jazz artist. Without him I think jazz would not really exist. Here is the backing track which I created. You can give a try yourself ? jazzblues F 120.mp3
  5. Finally I found my style in jazz, so that I can fully live out my creativity on the guitar and it doesn't sound like usual jazz guitar anymore. First to be heard at the Jazznight in Zug from Oct 3 in Monsieur Baquette together with the guys from HazzdaJazz. I have been following the style of George Benson, Wes Montgomery and Joe Pass a long time but never felt like flying when I played this styIe. This has changed now - really love it. I will open up a vlog here in the HPCrazy Students Club where you can follow me on my path to that style.
