The major pentatonic is very similar to the minor pentatonic. it is not used very often since the guitar is more like a minor instrument but when you have a song in a major key you have to use the major pentatonic. if you don't know the major pentatonic is very easy to achieve. Just move your normal minor pentatonic pattern 3 frets down move the root note the second note of the pattern and there we have it . major pentatonic sound pretty asian style and cheesy if you don't use it the proper way. In this tutorial I show you the three main licks which always work for major pentatonic and I must say these are the only three ones which really work with the major pentatonic. So in this case it's really good to know who don't relate so just follow my instructions and then you know how to use the major pentatonic in a professional proper way.
