  1. Here I recorded a spontaneous take after the videoshoot of the minor blues guitar tutorial. I wanted to get a puristic approach to minor blues and relating to Peter Greens style back from the 60's with a strong spring reverb effect and no additional effects. I have used a Vibra King amp with a 2*12 cabinet with an off-axis microphone setting, a large spring reverb with a mix level of 25% and a dunlop cry baby. I began the recording with finger picking and in the 3rd chorus I switched to normal pic technique. The great thing with puristic recordings is that these details in fact matter. But check it out yourself If you want to check the tutorial you'll find it here :
  2. Peter Green was one of the most iconic guitar players of the 60s. He started his career as replacing the Eric Clapton with John Mayall & the bluesbreakers. Later he founded Fleetwood Mac. He wrote quite a few songs which became quite famous such as Black Magic Woman which was played by Carlos Santana and became a world hit. Due to several health problems with drugs and mental problems he left Fleetwood Mac and started his own career. Now he passed away in July 2020 at the age of 73. Let's honor his work with his song “ I love another woman “ This blues was played by many guitar players such as Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa or Snowy White. In this tutorial I show you the first 12 bars of his guitar solo which is the most iconic part of this song and explain you the song is built with the chords and give you some ideas how you can solo on your own and how to play those chords in combination with some soloing parts. The song is basically a minor blues in the key of D minor and has the following form : Dm7 / Dm7 / Dm7 / Dm7 Gm7 / Gm7 / Dm7 / Dm7 A7#9 / A7#9 / Dm7 / Dm7 I love another woman.pdf I love another woman.gp i love another woman.mp3
  3. Jumping At Shadows ( Peter Green & Fleetwood Mac ) - Guitar Lesson Here I talk about the song " Jumping At Shadows " live in Boston 1970 and the guitar work of Peter Green in detail. I show you the chords and how they are probably played and give you some ideas how Peter Green worked out his solo on this magical night. 4. Here you can learn the main parts of the song The Green Manalishi by Peter Green. Show me the easy to play but there are many different parts in it which makes it hard to memorize the parts. In this tutorial I am showing you the main parts so slowly that you can learn them one by one and then listen to the song a few times to put them together to the full song. When it comes to the meaning of the song the green ones was asked what the green manalishi exactly means and he replied that he meant the addiction to money and I think the dollar bill is green we have it. He also said another time that when he composed this song it took him 2 years to recover from the intensity of the song and I must say I do somehow understand it because it is a very wonderful and intense blues rock song.
