Members Sara
I think this lesson is great for rhythm practice. After I could play this version, I applied this rhythm to "Night and Day" (a song I was already learning) and now it sounds much more interesting than before. Thanks! ? I wonder what other songs I could apply this to...
Admin admin Posted June 17, 2019 Author Admin Report Share Posted June 17, 2019 Yes it is - Bossa Nova is about rhythm and students often have a little bit difficulties with it. But once you got it - its a nice add to your rhythm guitar skills. And yes of course it works on Night & Day as well. You can choose any bossa nova from Jobim or any jazzstandard where you only have one chord per bar. Members Sara
Yes, I hope to learn Jobim's "Waves" someday in the future - that's one of my favorites. In the meantime, this morning I was excited to find that I could adapt your "All of Me" chord lesson to a Bossa Nova rhythm too! ? Fellow students, (I hope it's okay to put this link here, HP, please let me know if not) I found drum backing tracks on YouTube that are great to play this lesson with. Here's one of the nicest ones I found: Randy
Admin admin Posted June 18, 2019 Author Admin Report Share Posted June 18, 2019 Ah you mean " Wave " by Jobim. Thats a wonderful song. I play that as well - as a solo version. This drum track works fine - you can use that one. ? No this website here is meant to interact with eachother. If more comments come I might dont always find the time to anwser in detail. But interaction is the main idea here.
