I have taken this from the version together with Run DMC. On the 2nd part I am showing you 2 possible versions. One might be the original one as played by Brad Whitford and one which is pretty easier to play but sounds the same. To play the full song listen to the original song and just place one of the 3 parts showed there where they come. I remember playing this song when I was a teen. Even back then playing that stretch boogie shuffle was not easy for me. Now because of a wrist injury I try to avoid those type of stretches like the plague due to the pain that can linger for days. A matter of fact I stay away from the 3 note per string scale patterns with the stretch, at least on the lower end of the fretboard. And yes if you have a wrist injury 3 note per string is for sure not advisable. Do you still suffer from the injury ?
