There you can really watch his picking technique which switches easy between different picking techniques and speeds. I am working at similar stuff at the moment after going for legato playing for many years. It's kind of a Pat Matheny on stereoids. I know this style is not for everybody but I can tell you need to be a musical genius to write and performe such a tune..... it's not the technical abilities - it's the whole package of the vibe of the song, the paying technique and the new sound.
