The secret behind my backing tracks

All backing tracks you find here on my website are productions from my own studio. For me this is not such a big thing to produce them because I have been a professional composer for TV, Movie and Broadcasting from the years 2003 - 2012. There I active produced tracks, teasers, comercial tracks for adds and things like that. I had many placements in Swiss national TV, in severel ABC shows like Ugly Betty, Orange is the new Black and other TV shows around the globe. So producing backing tracks is really an easy task for me since I know how to produce music in many genres and have the proper tools for that.

I am using mainly Steinberg products :

Nuendo 11
Groove Agent 5
Halion 6
Wavelab 11 Pro ( Mastering )

Waves Plug ins
All Spectrasonic products
Ivory Piano's

and for guitars

AXE FX III
AXE FM 3
Godin Concerto Duo
Steelstring guitars
TL Audio Mic Preamp
Newmann Microphon - TLM 105 i think

and other software plugins occasionaly....

I have been ask to share more of my production secrets - so I think about it.

There is in fact a department where I already did such videos for beginners of production. But I think I can do more of such videos.

Hi Hanspeter,
good to know this. I recently had a request from a client about a custom jingle or small song for a digital roadshow. Next time I can get right back to you with something like that.

By the way:
the high quality of your backing tracks is also noticed by others. A few days ago a musician said that to me.

Learn by doing :-) you just need to know the basics and then you go and start to make your experiences. So my productions like from 2003 sound different then those from 2020 or so.

And here are the 3 top succesful ones.

This one here was a big hit in Switzerland in 2003

This one was on the Ugly Betty show :

and this one made like around 2 Mio streams on spotify

It was always like that, that those tracks which were produced in less then one hour got successful B)

Yes you can come back to me. I can also synch the music with a teaser or clip. Here a few credits - i discontinued that project 2012 - just updated the credits

That's nice to hear. As I said - there is in fact a secret behind it. I stopped the composing because my other projects got more priority and working for the professional libraries is not really creative because they always want " sound alike " tracks. But in fact I have been thinking about picking up my composing again because I really love it. But YouTube kept me busy since 2012. So I needed to decide what shall have it's priority. But my knowledge goes into the backing tracks. I can produce them in less then one hour - otherwise it would not be possible to keep up the pace...
