Members Ian Jackson
Hi, I commented on youtube about how I loved the rock tone from the Axe FX3, and wondered if I could get the settings or preset name. It is really is the tone that I love above all others I have heard. I don’t have an FX3 as yet but am organising to try one out, I also have the new Epiphone Les Paul standard 60’s so I guess very similar to Dr Pink. I was also wondering how you record the playing on video, is it straight from the Axe to recording software and how do you monitor the sound while recording the video? I hope these aren’t stupid questions but it all helps to understand the process. I will also mention that I have listened to your albums on Spotify and they are great! Regards, Ian
Admin admin Posted November 3, 2022 Author Admin Report Share Posted November 3, 2022 Hey Ian, yeah I remember your comment. The AXE FX III is not cheap - if you have the money go for it, if you budget is limited you might go for the FM3. That has a similar soundquality for a smaller price with the same amps and cabinets... more or less. I have both and I love them both. My Epiphone is not a regular one. It's from the elitist series - so you might need to replace the pickups to regular Gibson pickups and there you should be more or less there. Here are now my sound settings here : The cabinet is 4*12 Recto + 4*12 Fractal ( so I use 2 cabinets ) Delay is a pingpong delay on 7% Mix, Feedback 50% Reverb - Large Hall Compression - Studio Compression 2:1 Ratio Quote www.hanspeterkruesi.comif you love this website please support it either with aPremium Membership or / andDonation
