I can imagine the challenge of expanding your reach in an ever-changing environment. 

I was drawn to you through YouTube. So, hopefully that remains a focus. Your instructional videos are very well put together. You seem to have the formula figured out. They are the right length (usually under or around 30 minutes),you begin by demonstrating the concepts, then you present the lesson in digestable layer. 

I'll do anything I can to help spread the word.

Yes YouTube will remain a hosting plattform as long as possible - but they changed the alogerithm this year. How did that affect my channel ? I have been part of the Swiss YouTube Creator team back in 2015 and I always had a traffic from 80000 - 120000 views per month. It in fact made sense to follow trends because this leaded to ongoing traffic, since older video's still got views. Now by the middle of 2023 the traffic has dramaticaly changed, even I am doing the same thing I did over years. To put this in numbers - it's around 30% loss. When I go for popular themes or pull factors it creates some traffic for 3-5 days and then the visability stops again. So I have to create a mix of popular themes to get some traffic out of those 3-5 days but the focus is now to complet the system here on this website. That's what I did from summer 2023 till now and I am glad that in fact the system is complet here.

The next step is now to keep high quality content up as you described using YouTube as a hosting plattform but to power up the community here. So it is upon you guys out there to make the plattform a really cool place. I am offering a very fair and professional system here for the benefit of all users but it will not work without the community. I am doing my part as good as I can - but the community also needs some contribution from you guys out there.

BTW - Tik Tok is only a test which I will continue since it is easy to get lots of traffic with no followers. As an example - when I upload a performance video on YT I get around 500 - 700 views with 47000 subscribers. On TikTok I get the same with 20 followers. One video which I uploaded recently made over 9K views. That one will come on YouTube on sunday. I am curious what will happen with it there. But I have no plans to switch the eudcational video's to an other format. The long video's in 16:9 will remain.

I want to share this topic which happened to me yesturday :

I had a private discussion yesturday to possible move to the USA. Switzerland is not really a country for musicians and artists and all the big stuff in music and the composing industry happens in the USA. But I said in the discussion - I have no job so how am I supposed to do that ? 15 min later I was expecting one of my students for his guitar lesson then he came with the woman who runs the office beside my studio and she used to hear my guitarplaying from time to time. She was totally enthusiastic about my playing and turned out to be huge fan. She said that she does not unterstand why nobody knows me here and that she really knows a lot about music and now it comes her brother lives in LA and he is a composer who scored movies like : Moonfall, The Day After Tomorrow, 10500BC and and.... this guy is really big shot there - on a level of Hans Zimmer.

Now she is willing to pass the information that I as a prior composer for TV and movies exists to her brother. What a coincidence which happen just in the timeframe of a few minutes. That's the most astonishing thing which I want to share - however this story turns out ....

This message is probably a bit short handed - but I will in fact play this guitar night tomorrow. I first thought I would not because I did not have one free day during the holiday season but it will be cool and spontanious - no stress just have some fun. I hope some of you guys will also join the livestream

It's amazing how your entire life can change instantly. It's obviously not a decision to be mafe lightly, but very exciting to consider the possible opportunities. 

Maybe consider a vacation to LA  before deciding?  Maybe also try other music centres like Nashville?

In fact yes - sometimes things can change by the blink of an eye.

Yes I know there are a few interesting spots in the USA when it comes to music. I think Houston would be a choice because I have a relative there and the Texas Blues scene seems to be something. But at the moment I don't really know - I will see what will come up. The cool thing is - I can operate this website from any spot in the world.

Some of you might know that I am also an astrologer and tomorrow in fact is a special day and has been described through this song many decades ago :

On January 21st, 2024 when Sun and Pluto conjunct @ 0° Aquarius — the Moon is in Gemini, in house 7. Capricorn/Mars trines Taurus/Jupiter.
